We are excited to host a variety of camps, conferences, workshops, and programs that will enrich the personal development of individuals throughout the summer. Summer at Southeast offers a wide variety of academic and special interest opportunities to area youth ranging in age from pre-school to college through one-day, multi-day, and overnight summer programs and camps. Each program or camp is designed to highlight a particular field of study or skill and to encourage everyone to explore their potential.
Camp Redhawk
Camp Redhawk is a summer leadership camp designed for new students preparing to enter their first semester at Southeast Missouri State University. This 4-day, 3-night experience offers you an introduction to campus life and traditions, immerses you in school spirit, and gives you the opportunity to meet other new Redhawks.
Redhawk Athletic Camps
Train and learn with Redhawk coaches and athletes in your sport on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.
Scouts STEM Camp
Explore science, technology, engineering, and math through a fun and educational STEM camp at Southeast Missouri State University.
Summer Music Academy Classes
Are you ready for some summer musical excitement? Join a class and let's have some fun! Make music, make friends, and have fun while doing it during our summer classes. It’s not about hitting the right note or being the best-it’s about enjoying the experience, having fun, and picking up some new skills and friends along the way. SEMO Esports Day Camp
SEMO Esports is now offering exciting opportunities for students and parents to show their competitive spirit and passion for gaming! The summer camps are open to junior high and high school-aged students from 12 to 17 years old only. Our Esports training arena has 25 gaming computers, two Nintendo Switches, two Xbox Series X, and a Playstation 5.
These one-day camps will offer opportunities for those who want to better themselves as a competitor, or simply just want to have a fun day at the SEMO campus in the Esports arena playing games!
Camp registration is $60 for the day and is limited to 25 campers to ensure all campers will have something to play games on and receive coaching time if desired. All campers will receive a SEMO Esports camp T-shirt and SEMO lanyard. Lunch will be provided at the University cafeteria to provide a unique experience for your camper. After lunch, we will run a tournament-style bracket in SSBU if enough campers are interested. Parents are encouraged to come watch their camper from the arena if they'd like during the competition stage.
If your camper would like to play online games please remember to make sure they have their account information and everything they need to log in. We will have many games downloaded, but online gaming will require your own child's account and the purchase of game titles if necessary. Campers are welcome to bring their peripherals, controllers, or copies of their video games. We look forward to seeing you!

Redhawk Kids Camp
Redhawks Kids Camp (RKC) is designed for children entering grades 1-6 in the Fall of 2025. Campers must have completed kindergarten and may not have started grade 6.
Redhawks Kids Camp is a very active day camp, full of fun games, activities, water games, swimming, walking field trips, and crafts. Our camp counselors are Southeast Missouri State University students, who have the energy to match the campers.
To keep to a low camper-to-counselor ratio we have a maximum capacity. Spots are open until filled.
Register for one or all weeks. Registration must be received and purchased by Wednesday before the week of camp. We do not allow walk-up registration the week of camp. The cost for the Redhawk Kids Camp for faculty and staff is $140 for a full week and $110 for a 4-day week. The cost for community members is $220 for a full week and $175 for a 4-day week.
