Zak Mayfield is pursuing a BFA in Art with a specialization in Painting. According to Mayfield, "A Creative Tree demonstrates the creativity within my family that I was surrounded by growing up. There are four generations of artists, craftsmen and other creatives in my family. Beginning with my late maternal great grandparents Tom and Betty Ross, who were not artists by profession. Followed by my fraternal grandfather, Don Mayfield, and my maternal grandmother Linda Ross Schorie, her sister Beth Ross Scherer and Beth's husband, David Scherer. Also included in the exhibition are my mother and father Jamie and Jeff Mayfield, and sister Zoё Mayfield."
