My teaching and research interests include American government, state politics, nonprofit organizations, media and politics, government finance and budgeting, and education policy. Before joining SEMO in August 2018, I taught for almost 7 years at the University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK). Cape Girardeau is a much smaller town than Norman, but I thoroughly enjoy the peace and lifestyle here. In my free time, I like to read novels, go for a hike and appreciate nature, and watch movies (my favorite genres are horror and mystery).
