As Interim Director of the School of Health Sciences and Associate Professor at Southeast Missouri State University, I am committed to preparing the next generation of health professionals through innovative education, strategic leadership, and collaborative partnerships. My background in athletic training has shaped my interests in quality improvement, emerging technologies in healthcare, and injury prevention. Beyond my work on campus, I contribute to the profession through leadership and service with NATA, MAATA, and CAATE.
I hold a
- Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri
- Master of Science in Education (MSEd) in Athletic Training from Old Dominion University
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Athletic Training from Millikin University
- Associate of Science (AS) from Lincoln Land Community College

Research Interests

  • Quality improvement initiatives in athletic training
  • Integrating artificial intelligence into clinical workflows
  • Injury prevention in the performing arts

Professional Involvement

I’m actively involved in the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), serve as a peer reviewer and site visit chair for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), and coordinate the Annual Meeting for the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA).

Outside the Classroom

When I’m not teaching or researching, I enjoy traveling, especially leading international educational experiences. I’m passionate about soccer, live music, and exploring new cultures. I also love reading, particularly on topics like leadership, healthcare innovation, and history, and spending time outdoors with my wife and son. You can also find me cheering on my favorite sports teams, Liverpool F.C., the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
