Main teaching responsibility incudes Anatomy & Physiology and Medical Microbiology. She also teaches a variety of introductory courses for the department. Interested and participates in outreach programs throughout the community. She writes and coordinates the distributino of the Biology Department Newsletter. Shannon also participates in the Horizons Summer Youth Program offered through the University. Shannon was part of the team that developed and planned the yearly Halloween Science Night and C.A.R.E. Health Science Career Camp programs. Shannon also serves as the scientific equipment coordinator for the regional campuses in Sikeston, Malden, Kennett, and Perryville.
