Described as “dynamic and compelling” (Charleston City Paper), violinist Eva Dove has performed across America in venues from Carnegie Hall to Texas death row. A passionate chamber musician, collaborators include the late Lynn Harrell, Alisa Weilerstein, Jennifer Frautschi, the St. Lawrence String Quartet, and Brooklyn Rider. Eva has led performances as concertmaster with San Diego’s OperaNeo Festival and at the annual International Double Reed Society Conference, as well as for Spoleto Festival USA and the Vermont Mozart Festival.

 Eva has performed at music festivals across the country including the Spoleto Festival, the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Strings Festival at Steamboat Springs, Caroga Lake Music Festival, the Colorado College Music Festival, the Orchestra Institute Napa Valley, and the Montecito International Music Festival, among others. A fan of all genres of music, Eva has performed alongside The Who, Michael Buble, Andrea Bocelli, Amy Grant, Michael Bolton, producer Johan Lenox, and rapper 070 Shake.

 While living in Phoenix, Eva performed with Arizona MusicFest, the Arizona Bach Festival, and was a featured soloist with the Women’s Orchestra of Arizona, the ASU Baroque Ensemble, and led the MusicaNova Orchestra in a performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. As an educator Eva spent several years developing and directing the string department at Glendale Community College and worked for the El Sistema program Harmony Project.A longtime student of pedagogue Paul Kantor, Eva received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music as a recipient of the Starling Foundation Scholarship. During her graduate studies at Rice she was a Brown Scholar and served on the chamber music faculty of Rice’s Preparatory Program. She served as the Chamber Music Teaching Assistant at Arizona State University where she is currently working on her doctorate under the mentorship of violinist Jonathan Swartz.  Eva frequently appears with The Phoenix Symphony and tours with Concerts for Hope™, a non-profit that brings high-quality performances to prisons and rehab centers with the aim of elevating the human spirit and dignifying those in all walks of life.

 Eva is currently Instructor of Violin and Viola at Southeast Missouri State University, and teaches at the Luzerne Music Center in upstate NY during the summer months.
