Dropping Classes

These instructions will walk you through how to drop classes through the Southeast Portal. Make sure you have your PIN handy (you should have received this from your Academic Advisor) for the semester of the course you want to drop, and that you're dropping during the available registration period between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm (cst).

  • Login to the Southeast Portal at
  • Click the "Students SS" Tab
  • Locate the "Registration Tools" box
  • Click "Add/Drop Classes"
  • Select the Current Term
  • Type your PIN, then click "Submit"
  • Locate the course you want to drop
  • Under the Action drop down menu, click "WebDrop"
  • Click "Submit Changes" button at the bottom

Before dropping a course, you should consult with you Advisor to see how dropping will affect you, academically. You should also check with Student Financial Services to see how dropping a course will affect your finances.
