Working alongside its community college partners, Southeast Missouri State University is making it easier than ever for students to transfer, launching a series of on-campus Transfer Pop-Up events across the region starting Feb. 11.
Hosted by the SEMO Transfer Center, the pop-up events provide drop-in opportunities for transfer students to connect with SEMO representatives, ask questions, apply for admission on the spot, and pick up SEMO swag. Snacks will be available, and students who apply during the event will have the chance to spin a prize wheel for additional giveaways.
Unlike traditional college visits, the Transfer Pop-Ups are designed to create a relaxed, stress-free environment where students can explore their next steps at their own pace.
“These pop-ups add energy and approachability to the transfer experience,” said Brooke Lockhart, associate director of SEMO’s transfer center. “Students can stop by between classes, get to know us, and even take care of their application in a setting that feels fun and supportive.”
Upcoming SEMO Transfer Pop-Up locations include:
- Feb. 11 – Mineral Area College, Cape Girardeau
- March 2 – Three Rivers College
- March 3 – Kaskaskia College
- March 16 – John A. Logan College
- March 17 – Arkansas Northeastern College

- March 19 – Southwestern Illinois College
- March 23 – Mineral Area College, Main Campus
