Students with Southeast Missouri State University’s Collegiate DECA won big at the 2024 Collegiate Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) State Career Development Conference and Competition in Columbia, Missouri in February and are prepping for international competition.
Collegiate DECA is a national organization for college students that prepares them for careers in marketing, merchandising, or management. This year’s competition featured 25 events held across three categories involving individual case studies, team case studies, and prepared presentations.
Collegiate DECA provides students with opportunities for both personal and professional growth through leadership development, community involvement, and competitive events. DECA offers state and international recognition through competition in 38 occupational areas and awards more than $250,000 in scholarships each year.
The Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference takes place April 20-23 in Austin, Texas.
