As part of the tunnel repair project, Facilities Management, River City Construction along with their sub-contractor, and the City of Cape Girardeau will be conducting a scheduled, campus water outage on Friday, July 8.
The main water line supplying campus will be taken offline Friday morning, July 8 at 12 a.m.
(midnight) to complete the first round of maintenance work. Restoration of the water supply to campus is anticipated to be complete by 6 a.m. on Friday, July 8. In the event that unforeseen conditions prevent full water restoration by 6 a.m., the campus community will be notified via SE Alert.
Affected buildings will have no water during the outage, meaning no use of drinking fountains or toilet facilties and no kitchen operations. Other utilities within buildings will not be affected, so IT, HVAC, electricity, fire alarms, fire sprinklers, and elevators will function normally.
The following are buildings NOT affected by this outage:
