Southeast Missouri State University marketing students recently competed in the 2022 Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference, bringing home second place and third place trophies and one finalist placement.
Held in Baltimore, Maryland, this year, the competition phase of the conference put into practice the students’ knowledge and skills.
Additionally, as part of the conference, the students attended sessions to learn more about their chosen professions, participated in on-site challenges and connected with more than 850 other collegiate members from the USA and abroad.
The following students were named finalists:

Top 10 Finalist, Retail Management category:
- Connor Eidson, senior, business administration major from Portageville, Mo.

Third Place, Event Planning category:
- Payton Gronborg, sophomore, human resource management major from Hillsboro, Mo.
- Ella Koeninger, sophomore, business administration major from St. Louis, Mo.
Top 10 Finalist, Business-to-Business Marketing category:
- Heather Hoffman, junior, marketing management major from Owensville, Mo.
- David Oliver, junior, marketing management major from Smithton, Ill.
