A family-friendly production of “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella” will delight audiences Feb. 16-20 at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.
Children are encouraged to dress in costume and meet Cinderella and her Prince after the shows.
The talented students of The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance bring to life this new Broadway adaption of the classic musical of Cinderella, a young woman forced into a life of servitude but who dreams of a better life, and with the help of her fairy godmother, is transformed into a princess and finds her prince.
Featuring some of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s best music, this magical show is a must-see for families. This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Corner” “Impossible/It’s Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago” alongside an up-to-date, hilarious and romantic libretto by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane.
Performances are scheduled for Feb. 16-18 at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. in the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall.
