“A Narration on Life,” an exhibition of works by Southeast Missouri State University student artists Sophia Brady, Chris Furusa and Sophie White is on view through March 4 at The Nest Gallery at Southeast’s River Campus.
An artists’ lecture will be held March 3 at 5:30 p.m. in the River Campus Annex, Room 104. A closing reception will take place March 4 from 5-7 p.m.
In this exhibition, each artist expresses their take on the word ‘life.’ The search for the meaning of this concept is expressed in a variety of mediums but are tied together via the journey of each artist through their work.
Brady is a freshman art major. She mainly works with digital media but dabbles in traditional drawing as well. She aspires to become a concept artist and illustrator.
Furusa is a sophomore interactive design major. He has been interested in art ever since he was a little boy.
White is freshman fine arts major. She is a mixed-media artist who is inspired by the world around her and the little moments that make life worth experiencing, both the good and bad.
The Nest Gallery is located on the first floor of the Seminary Building and is an intimate exhibition space reserved for students interested in group exhibitions. Hours of operation are 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. All gallery exhibitions, events, and talks are free and open to the public.
