Southeast Announces Thanksgiving Holiday Hours

Southeast Missouri State University offices will be closed and classes will not be in session Nov. 22-26 as the University observes the Thanksgiving holiday.

Image of Academic Hall on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.The original holiday break was increased to include the entire week after University students, faculty and staff exceeded a 70% vaccination rate goal set by University President Dr. Carlos Vargas on Aug. 26. The University community achieved it on Oct. 29, three days ahead of the Nov. 1 deadline for the Great SEMO Vaccine Give Away Get Away incentive program.

Classes will reconvene and regular office hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. will resume Monday, Nov. 29. 

Break hours for campus operations will be as follows:

Dining Services

Dining services meal plans will be in effect until 9 p.m. Nov. 20, and resume with brunch on Nov. 28. All locations resume normal hours of operation on Monday, Nov. 28.

Recreation Services

The Student Recreation Center and Student Aquatic Center will observe reduced hours from Nov. 20-27, and will be closed Nov. 25-26.

Nov. 20-21: Noon-7 p.m.
Nov. 22-24: 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m.

Student Aquatic Center
Nov. 20-21: Noon-5 p.m.
Nov. 22-24:  5:30-7 a.m.; 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; 4-7 p.m.   

Recreations Services will resume normal operating hours Nov. 28.

Information Technology (IT) Help Desk

The IT Help Desk will observe the following schedule:

Nov. 19: Memorial Hall Room 107 open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Nov. 21: Phone and email support available from noon-4 p.m.
Nov. 22-24: Phone and email support available from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Nov. 25-26: All offices closed – limited email support only.
Nov. 27: Phone and email support available from noon-4 p.m.
Nov. 28: Regular weekend support resumes – Kent Library and Towers Complex open 6-9 p.m. 

IT Computer Labs

The IT Computer Lab will observe the following schedule:  

Nov. 19:
Dempster Hall closes at 5 p.m.
Kent Library closes at 6 p.m.
Magill Hall closes at 4 p.m.
Merick Hall closes at 5 p.m.
River Campus closes at 5 p.m.
Towers Complex closes at 5 p.m.
Nov. 20-27: All Labs are closed 

Nov. 28
Kent Library open 6-11 p.m.
Merick Hall open 6 p.m.-midnight
Tower Complex open 6 p.m.-3 a.m.

Shuttle Services 

Shuttle service will end on Nov. 19 with the Blue Route ending at midnight and When In Need Go Shuttle (WINGS) ending at 9 p.m. 

There will be no shuttle services from Nov. 20-27. Shuttles service will resume at noon Nov. 28 with the Blue Route.
