Facilities Management will conduct a scheduled, full campus steam outage on Monday, Nov. 22.
The steam production at the Boiler Plant will be taken offline Nov. 21 at 9 p.m. Maintenance will then be performed inside the Boiler Plant on Monday, Nov. 22. Crews will attempt to restore steam production in the plant by 5 p.m. Nov. 22.
Most of main campus will be affected by this outage. All of the affected buildings will not have HVAC heating or hot water produced during the period of steam being offline. If outside temperatures reach 65 degrees or above on the day of the outage, then buildings will have HVAC cooling and may feel cooler than normal.
Other utilities within buildings will not be affected. Domestic cold water, electricity, fire alarms, fire sprinklers and elevators will not be affected by this outage.
River Campus buildings will not be affected by this outage. The utilities serving each building on the River Campus will remain in normal working condition.
