Garion Beatty, a senior from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Kylie Noe, a senior from Sikeston, Missouri, were crowned the 2021 Man and Woman of the Year at halftime of the Southeast Missouri State University Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 30, on Houck Field.
Beatty, who is pursuing a degree in corporate communications and minors in integrated marketing communications, management and human resource management, was sponsored by Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity where he currently serves as its president. He has previously served the fraternity’s secretary, recruitment chairmen, social chairmen, T-Shirt chairmen and new member class president. He is also a member of Southeast’s Iota Chi. Beatty is the grandson of Sharon Martin.
Noe, who is pursuing degrees in Business Administration and corporate communications and a minor in integrated marketing communications, was sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi sorority where she currently serves as its president. She has previously served as the sorority’s vice president of operations, recruitment information manager, assistant recruitment information manager and finance specialist. She is also a member of National Society of Leadership and Success, the National Greek Honor Society’s Order of Omega and is the vice president of Southeast’s Rho Lambda, the National Greek Foreign Language Honor Society. Noe is the daughter of Doyle Noe and Molly Sain.
