Southeast Missouri State University will celebrate the graduation of 1,446 spring and summer graduates in five ceremonies on May 14 and 15, 2021. Ceremonies will be in the Show Me Center and approximately 225 graduates are expected to participate in each ceremony. Tickets are required for all guests and have been distributed in advance to each graduate.Im so proud of students and how they navigated the challenges that occurred this past year. Their determination, hard work and resilience was remarkable, said Southeast President Dr. Carlos Vargas. Faculty, staff and I are excited to celebrate their success with their families and friends at the festivities this weekend.In total, 467 students will graduate with honors. Students who have earned Latin Honors, Academic Distinction in the Department of the Major or completed the Jane Stephens Honors Program, will have that information displayed below their name on the videoboard as they cross the stage during their commencement ceremony, as well as printed in the program. Also recognized during the ceremony will be students graduating with a 4.0 grade point average and Honors Scholars. Additionally, tickets are required to attend the ceremony. Due to capacity limits, each participating graduate can receive up to six tickets that they can distribute to family and friends. Seating is assigned to ensure social distancing.Family and friends who cannot attend the ceremonies in person can view a live stream of all ceremonies.
