We are looking forward to celebrating your graduation with you. As you and your guests prepare to attend commencement, please review this event guidance intended to keep everyone in attendance safe.
Face Coverings
/ Face coverings are required at all times until you leave the facility, including while singing or cheering.
/ The face covering should fully cover the nose and mouth.
Social Distancing
/ Guests must have a ticket to enter the Show Me Center and must sit in assigned seats. Please hold on to your ticket during the event.
/ Guests are not permitted on the floor.
/ Remember to maintain six feet of social distance from others when entering the facility and while moving through the Show Me Center, including concession areas and walkways.
Exiting the Show Me Center
/ At the conclusion of the ceremony, graduates will be dismissed and directed to exit outdoors through the front of the Show Me Center.
/ When the graduates have exited, guests should then exit the seating area by moving to the closest set of stairs leading to the concourse. Leave the building through the nearest available exterior door. Guests should rendezvous with their graduate after exiting the facility.
Students or their guests who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, awaiting results of a COVID-19 test, or have been directed to be in quarantine or isolation at this time should not attend commencement.
Students will be allowed six tickets. There are no additional tickets available and guests who arrive without a ticket will not be permitted to enter the facility. However, all commencement events will be streamed live at www.semo.edu. Look for the commencement link on this page. Please share this link with your guests so that they can celebrate with you in real time.
For additional information, please refer to the email you will receive in mid April from graduation@semo.edu.
The University has imposed several aggressive risk mitigation efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Failure to comply with this guidance may cause the ceremony to be delayed, something none us want to see happen. We appreciate your commitment to the health and safety of our University community. By following these guidelines, everyone can celebrate together safely.
