Welcome to the Crisp Museum!
The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum is a center for sharing and observing the everchanging artforms of our time and those before us. This museum is used as a platform for talented, often local, artists to display their work to the public through whichever medium they so choose. Events such as exhibitions and poetry nights offer a place for artists to display their creativity for the community to enjoy.
If you prefer more historical forms of art, the museum displays collections of carefully preserved archaeological and fine arts pieces throughout history, some of which are estimated to be around 15,000 years old.
If you would rather be crafting the art instead of viewing it, the Crisp Museum offers a wide range of classes intended for people of all ages and skill ranges.
Crisp Museum is located inside Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus in the Cultural Arts Center Building at 518 S. Fountain St., Cape Girardeau, Missouri 63701. Admission is free. Southeast Missouri's heritage is highlighted in an informative video. To schedule tours email museum@semo.edu or call (573) 651-2660.
