Welcome to LaFerla Hall, the spot where comfort, community, and a whole lot of fearless energy come together.

Donald G. and Gloria King LaFerla Hall sits on the north side of campus, just a short walk from the Student Recreation Center, classrooms, and Towers. LaFerla's rooms are suite-style, with two-person rooms, double sinks, and separate bathroom and shower spaces. Fully furnished rooms make moving in a breeze, but still give you space to make them your own. 

If you're interested in spaces that give plenty of opportunity for building your community, LaFerla has a lot to offer. There are small lounges for late-night talks, a game room for unwinding after classes, a kitchen for shared meals, and study lounges on every floor. Several of SEMO's Special Interest Housing Communities also call LaFerla home.

*When available, students can privatize their double room (purchase the whole room). These spaces are limited and are approved on a first-come, first-served basis. RHA Fee

$15 per semester
Your RHA fee supports student leadership, safety, and community programming:

  • $7.30 → Funds activities for Residence Hall Association (RHA), including leadership development and conferences
  • $5.00 → Supports safety and security upgrades like keycard access and cameras
  • $2.70 → Funds Resident Assistant (RA) programming for community-building and educational events

Technology Fee

$30 per semester
This fee ensures reliable technology in the residence halls:

  • Supports wireless and LAN networks in rooms and lounges
  • Covers equipment maintenance, upgrades, and software licensing
