Sport Management Society

Mission statement:

Provide opportunities for involvement in professional activities for students pursuing a career in the sport industry and to gain a broad understanding of the business of sport.

Members meet bi-weekly to network and learn about the sport industry from speakers who work in the business. They attend conferences for career development and networking annually. Recent conferences include "Breaking into Sports" (Nashville Predators) and Team USA Symposium (USOC). Additionally, opportunities to attend professional sporting events are fun social outings for students. Finally, members can build their resume with actual experience in the sport business through short-term volunteer activities with the club.
