Join SEMO's Student Nurses' Association (SNA) for their Pink Ribbon Walk on October 1 as they kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
This walk is an opportunity to come together as a community, honor those impacted by breast cancer and raise awareness and support for this important cause.
The walk will begin at 5 p.m., with participants meeting in front of Crisp Hall. Participants will walk a loop around SEMO's campus that includes some hills and stairs, so please plan accordingly.
Registration is $5 per participant. Of each registration fee, $3 will be donated to a breast cancer organization serving our region, while the remaining $2 will support SEMO SNA members as they attend the Annual Missouri Nursing Student Association Conference in Columbia, Missouri.
Supporting our future nurses also supports the causes they will advocate for throughout their careers. By attending the MONSA Conference, our student nurses gain valuable leadership and advocacy skills that empower them to become strong voices for the causes they believe in, including breast cancer awareness and other important health initiatives, throughout the workforce and their nursing careers.
Pink Ribbon Walk shirts will also be available for purchase. Additional donations beyond the $5 registration fee are greatly appreciated and will be accepted during sign-up or in person at the event.
Come walk with us as we begin Breast Cancer Awareness Month by raising awareness, supporting those affected and empowering the next generation of nurses to continue advocating for the causes that matter the most!
