The most important part in preparing for college is choosing the school that is right for you and then meeting the deadlines to get in. To make things easier for you, here are the most important dates to remember this fall at Southeast.
1. AUGUST 1
Start applying for college! Apply to Southeast at semo.edu/apply or via the Common App.
2. OCTOBER 1
Registration for FirstSTEP Orientation opens today. First STEP Orientation helps make the transition to college life easier. During orientation, we’ll introduce you to the personal support systems in place on campus to set you up for success at Southeast. FirstSTEP fills up fast, so register early.
3. NOVEMBER 1
Submit your Southeast application by Nov. 1, so you can get your housing contract completed by the Dec. 1 deadline!
4. DECEMBER 1
Looking for help paying for college? Depending on your ACT score and GPA, you may qualify for scholarships. Find out if you’re eligible and turn in your application by December 1 to meet the deadline!
That day is also the recommended housing contract completion date. If you want to self-select first, get your contract completed by December 1!
5. SHOW ME DAY
Show Me Day is Southeast’s premier open house where you can talk with professors, tour campus, eat in our dining facilities, meet students and see the residence halls with other families. Choose a Show Me Day that fits your schedule and register online.
6. ACT TEST - Southeast is a test-optional school, meaning you don’t need an ACT/SAT score to be admitted or to receive scholarships! In fact, we've expanded the amount of aid you're eligible for without a test score. But if you're planning to take the test, don’t forget to sign up! Visit act.org for test dates and registration information.
