Agribusiness in Agriculture Communications at SEMO is the only program of its kind in Missouri! Our ag communications degree prepares students for positions in media design, layout, photography, journalism, broadcasting, as well as sales, marketing, finance, policy, consulting, and related areas. It can also provide the basis for graduate work leading to a master's or doctoral degree. This option is designed for students who complete all four years at SEMO and for students transferring to SEMO with an AA or AAS degree.

As an agribusiness: ag communications major, learn to tell the story of agriculture and the environment to consumers, legislators and other key stakeholders producing communications using various media and technology resources. Complete a minimum of 120 credit hours, the General Education program, and 39 senior division hours (300-599). A minimum 2.0 GPA in the major and overall are required to graduate with a BS degree.
Some courses may fulfill General Education requirements.

Agricultural communications is the practice of using communication, marketing, media, and storytelling to connect people with agriculture and the industries surrounding it. Agricultural communicators may create campaigns, manage social media, write for agricultural publications, develop marketing materials, produce media, manage public relations, or communicate with farmers, consumers, businesses, and agricultural organizations.
