Southeast Missouri State University and Scott City Schools have formed a partnership. Scott City employees who enroll in a SEMO degree or certificate program can receive a 20% tuition discount. Working together to help you further your education in appreciation for the bright future you help your students discover.

Employee Benefits

  • Student Recreation Center at University Rate

    Scott City Schools employees and their spouse/partner are eligible for a Student Recreation Center membership at the University affiliate rate.

  • $3 Off Tickets to Southeast River Campus

    Scott City Schools employees can receive discounted tickets ($3 off purchase price) on University produced events at the SEMO River Campus. Each Scott City Schools faculty/staff member can purchase up to four discounted tickets. This discount does only applies to events produced by the University.

    Scott City Schools employees can purchase athletic event tickets at University rate. Scott City Schools will also be able to schedule event visits with students participating in school-sponsored team sports.

Credit for Prior Learning

You've done the work. Now get the credit. SEMO offers a variety of opportunities for Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), meaning you could get college credits for the professional or military experience you already have.

Steps to Apply

  1. Complete the application for admission online. We will let you know if we need additional documentation after you apply.
  2. In the Academic Plans section, select your partner organization.
  3. After you are admitted and have activated your SE Key (username), check your student email for instructions to certify your employment. You will need to upload a paystub dated within 45 days during certification.

Recertification

Current SEMO students who wish to receive the discount are required to recertify everyyear. To receive the discount, Check your SEMO email regularly for the recertification information to update your employment information. Contact partner@semo.edu if you have any questions about this process.
