Assistant Professor- Athletic Training/Health Sciences — Allied Health, Kinesiology, & Sport Sciences
I am currently an assistant professor in the Athletic Training program at Southeast Missouri State University. I earned my Ph.D. in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation from Old Dominion University, where I focused on neuromuscular control and balance training in individuals with chronic ankle instability. Throughout my academic journey, I have been deeply passionate about understanding how rehabilitation can be enhanced through both peripheral and central nervous system adaptations.
As an educator, I am committed to helping students connect clinical practice with current research. I teach courses in athletic training, kinesiology, and injury management, and I strive to make complex topics accessible through hands-on experience and student-centered learning. My goal is to mentor the next generation of sports health professionals and contribute to the development of effective, evidence-based rehabilitation strategies.
