Transfer Orientation is your opportunity to jumpstart success at SEMO! If you’ve completed 24 or more college credit hours, this program is designed to boldly support your next steps. You’ll connect with other transfer students, meet your academic advisor, and get the tools you need to confidently move forward in your Southeast journey.

Summer/Fall 2026	Wednesday, April 1, 2026 Wednesday, April 29, 2026 Wednesday, May 20, 2026 Wednesday, July 8, 2026	Get ready for a day that's all about moving forward with confidence! We have an Info Fair packed with resources, breakout sessions for personalized support, presentations from our campus experts and (optional) campus tours to explore your new home. We feed you lunch, too. After sessions, you will meet with your academic advisor to lock in your first semester schedule. Don't worry- we book that for you!
Summer/Fall 2026	1:1 Advising and Virtual Transfer Orientation	Can't make it to a face-to-face event? Choose this option to meet with your advisor on your schedule and enroll in courses, and we will send you access to an online course.

NOTE: These options are for students who plan to take classes at the main campus in Cape Girardeau. Students who are going to be in a completely online program should contact SEMO Online to initiate their orientation process if you do not see the option for the "Getting Started Course" when you register for your event.

Registering for Orientation

You will log in to register for orientation using your SEMO credentials. Please make sure you have activated your SE Key before registering for orientation.

You will only see orientation options for which you meet the criteria to attend. If your credit evaluation is not yet completed, you should wait until you have received that information, or you may not see the option to register for Transfer Orientation.

If you have under 24 transferable credit hours (at least one full semester post-high school), as determined by your credit evaluation, you must complete the First STEP Orientation.

Virtual Orientation

Transfer students who do not wish to complete an in-person event day can register for our option listed as 1:1 Advising and Virtual Transfer Orientation. Once registered, your customized task list will populate with the steps to schedule advising and give you a link to our optional self-paced orientation.

Enrollment Fee

All new transfer undergraduate domestic students (not exclusively at a regional campus or in a fully online degree program) will be charged a $100 enrollment fee on their first fall or spring semester bill to Southeast. There is no separate charge for orientation.
