Southeast Missouri State University is hosting its 4th Annual Women in STEM Day on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the River Campus Atrium, bringing together students and faculty to celebrate and support women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
This event captures the SEMO spirit—driving progress through bold ideas, fearless curiosity, and a shared commitment to lead and lift one another. The panel will feature a dynamic group of women who will share their personal journeys, professional experiences and advice for navigating careers in STEM fields. This year’s panel participants are:
- Britani Gunther, consultant at Daugherty Business Solutions
- Dr. Germaine Kirk, medical doctor specializing in Hematology and Medical Oncology, district manager at Buchheit’s
- Megan Strauss, solutions architect in analytics at Element451
- Dr. Jennifer Bengtson, SEMO professor of History & Anthropology
- Pam Johnson, former SEMO Forensic Chemistry instructor and laboratory criminalist supervisor
- Pam Mills, SEMO instructor of Chemistry & Physics
“We’re proud to provide a space for women in STEM to connect, inspire one another and continue strengthening our community,” said Dr. Tammy Randolph, dean of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. “Each year, this event highlights the importance of mentorship and representation in shaping the next generation of innovators.”
