Four Southeast Missouri State University students joined Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe at the annual Missouri Governor’s Student Leadership Forum (MOGSLF) in Jefferson City this past weekend.
Sarah Chapman, Dustin Roberts, Connor Warnke, and Stella Wright were among 80 collegiate students nominated to represent their college at the forum, held February 14-16, 2025, at the Missouri State Capitol.
Unlike traditional leadership conferences, MOGSLF encourages students to rethink leadership as a form of service rather than authority. Through engaging conversations, networking opportunities, and real-world applications of leadership principles, participants explored how character-driven leadership can create lasting impact in their communities.
Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe welcomed students at the Capitol, setting the stage for a weekend focused on self-reflection, relationship-building, and learning from experienced leaders across various fields. Students had the opportunity to connect with peers from diverse backgrounds, gaining insights into different leadership journeys and challenges.
Established in 1988 under the leadership of former Missouri Governor and 79th U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, the Missouri Governor’s Student Leadership Forum continues to shape future leaders by emphasizing humility, service, and strong moral character.
