“Fever Dream,” an exhibition of a mural by Southeast Missouri State University student artists Kate Cooper, Ciara Potter, Kaiola Sooman-Stanton and Wendell T. Stapleton II, will be on view from March 4-27 at Catapult Creative House.
An opening reception will take place on Friday, March 4 from 5-9 p.m.
The exhibition features a forty-foot collaborative mural created by these students from Southeast’s Department of Art and Design. Under the guidance of Justin Henry Miller, associate professor of and area head of painting at Southeast, each student contributed their own unique blend of figuration, abstraction and surrealism.
“Since Catapult is a space founded on the mission of collaboration, this is the perfect opportunity for this collection of young artists to showcase their individual talents as well as respond to the creativity being put forth by their peers,” Miller said.
