Award-winning writer Jeffrey Condran will perform a public reading of his work on Monday, Oct. 12 at Southeast Missouri State University as part of the Dorothy and Wedel Nilsen Visiting Writers Series.
The public reading will be held at 7 p.m. in Crisp Hall Room 105. The event is free and open to the public. Face coverings are required.
A book signing will follow the reading, and books will be available for purchase at the event.
Condran is the author of the story collections “A Fingerprint Repeated” (Press 53) and “Claire Wading into the Danube By Night” (Southeast Missouri University Press). His debut novel, “Prague Summer” (Counterpoint), received a 2015 Independent Publisher Book Award Silver Medal. He is an associate professor of creative writing at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
The Nilsen Visiting Writer Program brings successful writers to Southeast Missouri State University each semester to talk with students about the crafts of writing and editing. Events are sponsored by the Southeast Missouri State University Press and Southeast’s Department of English.
