For all regular benefit eligible employees, Monday, Sept. 7 is a paid University holiday. If you are required to work on this years holiday, and are a non-exempt employee, you will be paid your normal holiday pay, plus overtime for the hours worked on Sept. 7. Employees or designated department representatives should enter overtime premium (OTP) for the hours worked on Sept. 7 on the next regular scheduled timesheet submission. Holiday pay will be automatically processed by Human Resources.

If a regular benefit eligible employee is scheduled to work on Monday, Sept. 7 and wishes to take the day off, leave time for the day should be reported through their normal timesheet process.

All hours worked for union employees will be processed in accordance with the appropriate union contract.

Non benefit eligible employees, such as temporary employees, student workers and graduate assistants are not eligible for holiday pay and therefore are ineligible for overtime pay for Sept. 7. These employees should follow their normal payroll process.

Supervisors will approve timesheets as normal.
