The Gallery at Southeast Missouri State Universitys Catapult Creative House, located at 612 Broadway in downtown Cape Girardeau, will host a First Friday reception Aug. 3 from 5-9 p.m. for the exhibition Memorycycler.The exhibition will feature the work of artist and animator Kevin Hand and will remain on display through Sept. 27.Memorycycle is an installation commenting on the recycling of materials and memories.Recycling is the process of converting used products into new materials as an alternative to waste disposal that can save resources and help lower greenhouse gas emissions and, in turn, preserve the planet, Hand said.
