The Department of Information Technology has hired Tom Meyer as the Universitys Information Security Officer. Meyer is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science in cybersecurity in 2015. He joins the University from Southeast Hospital where he has been working in IT security.
No one will argue the importance of information security in todays connected world. The increased number and variety of security risks to the University necessitate an increased commitment to protecting University resources.
“We are very happy to have Tom join the University,” said Floyd Davenport, assistant vice president for Information Technology.
