Southeast’s Internationalization Leadership Team Completes University Self-Study, Campus Input Sought

The self-study provides the leadership team with an understanding of all the different ways Southeast is (and is not) engaged in international practices. The study provides a foundation for the leadership team to turn the self-assessment into recommendations for a final report, which will be completed in Spring 2018. The self-study is available at www.semo.edu/president/initiatives/ace.The campus community is invited to provide additional information to add to the self-study, or recommendations on ways to improve on Southeast's current international engagement by participating in the following:

1. Attend the public forum about the Universitys Comprehensive Internationalization on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at noon in the University Center Ballroom B
2. Email suggestions and feedback to cifeedback@semo.edu
3. Share feedback with a member of the Comprehensive Internationalization Leadership Team at www.semo.edu/pdf/international-ace-leadership-team.pdf

The self-study is part of Southeasts current participation in the 14^th cohort of the American Council on Education (ACE) Internalization Laboratory Program. The program is guiding Southeast through ACEs premier planning process toward comprehensive internationalization efforts in teaching and learning. Ultimately, the laboratory is helping Southeast review its goals and develop a strategic plan in its international education efforts that aligns and integrates policies, program, and initiatives to position the University as a more globally-oriented and internationally-connected institution.For more information or questions, contact Kevin Timlin at kjtimlin@semo.edu.
