Based on Bram Stokers classic novel, Dracula will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31- Nov. 4 and 2 p.m. Nov. 5 as part of the Rhodes 101 Stops and Commerce Bank Theatre and Dance Series in the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall at Southeast Missouri State Universitys River Campus.Dracula is a suspenseful story following the material of its novel. The characters in the play work to piece together the vampire Draculas identity and bravely attempt to stop him from taking new victims.Full of humor and horror, Dracula paints a theatrical picture of Stokers famous vampire, said Dr. Kenneth Stilson, chair of The Conservatory of Theatre and Dance."Spend Halloween night with a terrifying production of Dracula, he said. It's the perfect season for those with a taste for a little blood."This new adaptation restores the suspense and seduction of Bram Stoker's classic novel to the stage.
