On the First Friday of every month, Catapult Creative House, Southeast Missouri State Universitys groundbreaking creative arts and industries incubator, showcases the amazing innovation and entrepreneurship of Southeast students and faculty.The exhibited work and services helps promote the Universitys entrepreneurial spirit while drawing in the whole Cape Girardeau community into the collaborative and interdisciplinary space.Catapults one-of-a-kind program is designed to bring together students and faculty from a variety of disciplines to immerse them in the entrepreneurial experience.In addition to student studio and collaboration spaces, the facility provides a retail shop, coffee bar, gallery, letterpress area, 3-D printing area, photo and paint shops, all operated by students with faculty oversight.Launched in May 2015, Catapult is located at 612 Broadway in a 13,320-square-foot renovated building in Cape Girardeaus downtown business district. Catapult is the newest of many resources available for student and community entrepreneurs including the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Economic and Business Engagement Centerand the Small Business and Technology Development Center.
