Student to Discuss Her ‘Plant Based’ Ceramics Work in ‘Red Light Night’ Lecture

Candace Taylor, a Southeast Missouri State University student visual artist, will present Plant Based Sept. 21 as the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri hosts its second Red Light Night of the season.Candace Taylor is a Bachelor of Fine Arts ceramics major who will discuss her work and how and why she incorporates living organisms into the vessels she creates.The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, 16 N. Spanish Street, in Cape Girardeau. The Red Light Night series focuses on the arts and the environment.Join other arts supporters in provocative discussions during Red Light Night. The Arts Council Galleries are open Tuesday-Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
