Quality Matters Rubric Training Available

The Office of Instructional Technology and the Center for Scholarship in Teaching and Learning is offering two cohorts to help faculty members design their online courses.

qm-cohorts-thumbCohorts will meet once a week for five weeks, with meetings beginning either Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. or Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 8:30 a.m. Participants only need to sign up for one cohort that works best for their schedule. The one-hour meetings, designed to develop courses that help students succeed and meet the Quality Matters rubric,will cover topics such as discussions in the online classroom, creating a faculty presence, and online assessments. After this semester, all courses taught online must meet this rubric. The next deadline for Fall 2017 classes is Nov. 1. To register visit, https://cstl.semo.edu/workshop/.
