Southeast’s University School for Young Childrenis sponsoring a book drive in honor of Anna Dewdney, the beloved author of the Llama Llama series of childrens books. On Sept. 3 Dewdney passed away after a long battle with brain cancer.

From Sept. 12-16, donate new or gently used childrens books in collection boxes at Scully Building Room 313 or theUniversity School for Young Children, located at 2089 Bessie St. in Cape Girardeau.Additional donation boxes will be located throughout campus, so watch for them!

All books received will be given to the Frank the Fighter Foundation, which delivers care packages, including childrens books, to southeast Missouri families with children in neonatal intensive care units.
