SEMO Hosts Marquette Professor on ‘After Humanity’ Sci-Fi Talk

After Humanity: Science Fiction After Extinction will be the topic at the 2016 Robert W. Hamblin Lecture April 6 at Southeast Missouri State University.

Dr. Gerry Canavan

Dr. Gerry Canavan, assistant professor of English at Marquette University, will present the lecture at 7:30 p.m. in Ballroom A of the University Center.

Canavan has edited several books which include Extrapolation, Science Fiction Film and Television, and The Cambridge Companion to American Science Fiction. His articles have been published in a variety of journals such as the Journal of American Studies, the New Orleans Review, and the Democratic Communique.

The event is free and open to the public.
