Students who have their major within the Department of Computer Science are encouraged to have an internship. Our students have interned at local, regional, and national companies. Available internships can be found through company websites, Career Services, and emails from the Department of Computer Science.

Undergraduate Students

CS485 Internship offers students a supervised learning and work experience in professional computer science environments which furthers the knowledge gained from computer science and information systems courses taken on campus. The internship course may be repeated once.

Process for Enrolling in CS485

Meet the Prerequisites

  • CS300
  • 75 hours completed
  • 2.75 cumulative GPA
  • 15 hours in CS or IS courses with 3.0 GPA
  • Consent of department chairperson
  • Complete the Internship Contract
  • Complete CPT process (International Students Only)

Graduate Students

CS699 Internship offers graduate students a supervised learning and work experience in professional field and furthers their knowledge in computer science.
