Housed in the Harrison College of Business and Computing and located in state-of-the-art Dempster Hall, the Department of Management prepares students for careers in management, business, healthcare management, hospitality, entrepreneurship, and human resources. 

Academic Programs

The Department of Management offers undergraduate Bachelor of Science in business administration (BSBA) and Bachelor of Science (BS), as well as four graduate business degree programs.

  • Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

    The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship supports the University’s strategic priority to advance Southeast Missouri’s economic appeal and strength by leading in the development of an increasingly entrepreneurial economy that inspires and encourages individuals to adopt a culture of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. 

  • Hospitality Lab

    The hospitality management lab, located in Dempster Hall, is an experiential learning lab that offers hospitality students a place to gather to work on projects, demonstrations, marketing activities, and simulations. The design of the lab embodies a hospitality schematic that provides an environment conducive to learning with the feel of various industry settings.   

  • Real-world Experience

    Students in the Department of Management receive hands-on experience through internships. Southeast has a network of business partners through Career Services to help students find opportunities as well as an advisory board of corporate partners who help ensure our curriculum matches the marketplace.
