Grading Papers

  • Choose the "GradeMark" tab at the top of the page.
  • On the right-hand side of the paper, you will find a bank of comment tiles. Above this bank, there is an icon that allows access to additional banks of “commonly used,” “composition,” “composition marks,” “format,” “punctuation,” and “usage.” You may “drag and drop” these tiles to the appropriate place on the paper. Mousing over the tile supplies more specific information about the error/suggestion. Most tiles give the student the option to view an electronic handbook, which has further explanation. You may edit any of these existing tiles to fit your needs. You may also create custom comment tiles; just drag and drop the “comment” tile to the paper and type the comment. You may either save for just this one usage, or you may save it as a new QuickMark tile, which will always be available in your bank. If you don’t want to use any of the tiles or create new
  • To enter a grade, fill in the grade box at the top right-hand side of the page. Since Turnitin is integrated into Moodle, the grade will appear in the Moodle gradebook.
