Michael McIntosh is Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre, Directing, and Acting.

An internationally-recognized artist, Michael has directed and acted throughout the world. Michael’s award-winning work has been seen Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons, The York Theatre, and The Gallery Players among other venues. Regionally, he has worked at theatres such as The Cleveland Playhouse, Great Lakes Theatre Festival, and Porthouse Theatre.

Michael made his home base New York City for 17 years. From there, he worked on productions in Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, California, New York, Chicago, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Beirut, Lebanon.

Equally at home on-camera, Michael has been seen in many commercials and industrial films. He is also a jingle singer and animation voice-over artist for major clients including Kirby and American Greetings.

He most recently appeared as Edna in Hairspray at SEMO and collaborated with Broadway writer/composer Barry Keating on creating a new version of the Tony-nominated musical Starmites at Porthouse Theatre.

Michael is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, the Society of Directors and Choreographers, and Actors’ Equity Association. He is also the proud owner of a spoiled miniature poodle named Oscar.
