The recycling program has been established throughout the Southeast Missouri State University Campus. Taken care of by Facilities Management, this entails approximately 43 buildings on campus, and each building has from one to four recycle pickup areas. We have approximately 160 + recycle bins on campus that we service. The types of materials that we recycle are:

  • Cardboard
  • Mixed Paper
  • Shredded Paper
  • Plastic Bottles (Towers and Vandiver Hall only)
  • Aluminum Cans

Our goal is to (1) Promote interest and participation in the recycle program on campus. (2) To provide a centralized recycling area in each building. (3) To establish a recycle route on campus in which each building would have recycle pickup on an established day of the week. (4) To pickup recycle on campus in a timely manner and transport to the Recycle Center so it can be prepared for transport and sale.
