The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is seeking nine evaluators for the inaugural year of its recognition of exemplary school library programs. Five of the evaluator positions are two-year terms; four are one-year terms. It is important that we have evaluators from all regions of Missouri and representation from urban, suburban, and rural areas. Applicants for evaluator positions should be current or former school librarians or current college-/university-level instructors in school librarian preparation programs. Evaluation work will take place in early March and will most likely be done remotely. Evaluators will receive a small stipend. The deadline to apply for an evaluator position is September 30, 2020. If you are interested in applying or would like additional information, please contact Lisa Scroggs, DESE assistant director of English language arts, at email@example.com.
