By a Thread, an exhibition of works by students from Erin Tucker's Bookmaking and Fiber class, will be on view Friday, April 4 through Friday, April 25 in the Wolz Ruzicka Hallway Gallery in the ARX Building on River Campus.
This unique collection of work is connected by a thread, and a class.
The students in AR330: Bookmaking and Fibers learn new techniques, study contemporary artists, and practice their craft. These unique and exciting pieces are the result. From hand binding books to using a sewing a machine, these artists found new ways to share their voice and points of view, expanding and supporting their own studio practice.
Exhibitors include Kate Cooper, Cecelia Merlone, Eric Tolbert, Kaylee Shelby, and Zak Mayfield.
An opening for By a Thread will take place on Friday, April 4 from 5-7 p.m. in the Wolz Ruzicka Hallway Gallery.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
All gallery exhibitions, events, and talks are free and open to the public.
