Slipping Through My Fingers, an exhibition of paintings by Megan McKean, will be on view from Friday, March 7 through Friday, March 28 at the Dobbins Hallway Gallery in the Dobbins Center on River Campus.

Megan McKean is a painter from Fenton, Missouri, and an alumna of Lindbergh High School. She discovered her love for acrylic painting in 2019 during her AP investigation series and began exploring oil paint in 2023. Her work focuses on portraiture and themes of childhood, blending experimentation with personal storytelling.

According to McKean, “The one constant in life is that everything changes. I have feared change for a good majority of my life but have tried to move forward and make the best out of the inevitability of growing up, changing, living. This notion became apparent to me after digging through photo albums of family pictures and selecting those that were either intriguing or the most representative of my life. These images made me realize that there is so much more to come; so many more "paintable" moments and “paintable” faces.”

An opening reception for Slipping Through My Fingers will take place on Friday, March 7 from 5-7 p.m. in the Dobbins Hallway Gallery, an exhibition space reserved for students interested in solo or group exhibitions. It is located on the first floor of the Dobbins Center on River Campus.
