Fantasy Fatale, an Exhibition of Paintings and Digital Imagery by Andy Wilson, will be on view from Friday, February 7 through Friday, February 28 at The Nest Gallery in the Seminary Building on River Campus.

Andy Wilson grew up in Park Hills, Missouri. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Art from Southeast Missouri State University. She has been working as a gallery assistant for four years, is the student representative on the Department of Art and Design’s Gallery Committee, and serves as Vice President of Art Guild.

According to Wilson, “I was raised by two strong independent women, who set an example for me. As a result, I became drawn to the femme fatale archetype. The femme fatale is often depicted as strong, mysterious, and deadly. These women demonstrate cunning wit, a sense of adventure, and a strong sense of independence. Another influence is the fantasy genre, which I have been interested in since I was a kid. This exhibition celebrates the diversity and beauty of the fantasy genre combined with the feminine strength of the femme fatale archetype.”

An opening reception Fantasy Fatale will take place on Friday, February 7 from 5-7 p.m. in the Nest Gallery. The Nest Gallery is located on the first floor of the Seminary Building.

All gallery exhibitions, events, and talks are free and open to the public.
